The 2022 awards ceremony will be the 3rd UKLDA event and this will take place on Sunday the 26th February 2023
- UK Beginner Dance: This is an award for your favourite beginner dance for 2022. It doesn’t matter who it was choreographed by, or where they are from, what matters is that it’s the beginner dance that you love, that will always get you up on your feet.
- UK Improver Dance: This is an award for your favourite Improver dance for 2022. It doesn’t matter who it was choreographed by, or where they are from, what matters is that it’s the Improver dance that you love, that will always get you up on your feet.
- UK Intermediate and Above Dance: This is an award for your favourite Intermediate and above dance for 2022. It doesn’t matter who it was choreographed by, or where they are from, what matters is that it’s the Intermediate and above dance that you love, that will always get you up on your feet.
- UK Line Dance of the Year: What is your favourite dance that is being regularly danced in 2022. That floor filler that you love to take part in. It can be for any level of dance, to County music or that massive summer hit song.
- Rising Star – This award is to recognise those individuals who, whilst not yet widely known in the industry, have a solid understanding and are actively working to improve the Line Dancing industry. These are the ‘ones to watch’
- UK Performing Artist: This award is for the UK based performing artists that we all love to dance to. It could be your favourite touring country soloist/duo/band or the online streaming artist that you discovered and loved.
- Community Instructor – This award is for any instructor that is using Line dance as a tool to create and/or build communities in any setting and age group. Bringing forward its benefits directly into communities and showing that Line Dancing is for everyone.
- Dance Entertainer – This category is truly wide open. Who is it that entertains you the most on or off the dance floor in Line Dance related style? It could the instructor that makes classes an absolute joy, the ‘name’ that made the weekend for you, the Artist that really makes you want to sing and dance along or even that one dancer type that we all know that makes those around them smile and want to join in.
- UK Choreographer – An award for UK based choreographers. Which UK choreographer got you out of your chair and dancing this year? Remember that this is a vote for the Choreographer, not any particular dance.
- UK Female Dance Personality: This award is for the UK Female Dance Personality of 2022. This could be an instructor, a choreographer, artist or organiser.
- UK Male Dance Personality: This award is for the UK Male Dance Personality of 2022. This could be an instructor, a choreographer, artist, or organiser
- Club of the Year: This award is to recognise the clubs that regularly run line dance events and work above and beyond for their members
- Special Achievement Award: This is for instructors that during the award timescales, has stepped up and performed above and beyond for the industry. It can cover any aspect of the UK Line Dance scene. Whilst nominations are being accepted, this will not be a public vote award.
- UK Grassroots Instructor – This is an award for the teachers out there who teach week in and week out in halls, classrooms, council rooms and a myriad of other locations. The Grassroots instructor doesn’t need to be a ‘big name’. Nominate your local instructor and see them recognised for their efforts
